American Choke Collars
This time-honored product, while rather simple, can be extremely hard to find in something other than a heavy metal chain. Our rope choke collars are elegantly simple, lightweight and, importantly, available in a wide range of sizes. Choke collars excel at training and can be attached to most any existing leash when needed. When sizing for your dog, the circumference of the head indicates proper size as the collar will be placed on the dog by sliding it over the head. Available in two rope thicknesses, 7/16” (about ½”) for larger dogs (over 50lbs) and 5/16” (just over a ¼”) for dogs under 50lbs, nine different sizes (5/16” diameter rope – 12”,14”,16”,18”,20”) (7/16” diameter rope – 20”,22”,24” 26”) and in 19 different colors and patterns. Ring diameter for 5/16” rope chokes is 5/8” and Ring diameter for 7/16” rope chokes is 1”. Please note, when sizing choke collars for your dog the collar will be placed over the head. Therefore, you should measure the circumference of the head and purchase a choke collar that just fits over it. Choke collars are designed to be loose fitting over the neck.
