Martingale Collars
The Martingale Collar is designed to provide tension when needed and then loosen completely when no pulling force is placed upon it. The primary focus of this product is to train dogs to walk on lead and you should hold the collar directly behind ears when training. Timberwolf manufactures this type of collar in both chain pull and non-chain (“soft pull”) designs. The chain pull is more traditional in nature as the weight and sound of the chain is often desired by trainers. However, many owners continue to prefer the Martingale style of collar, even after training, due to the full release of tension when the dog is not pulling. For those folks, we offer the Martingale collar in a “Soft-Pull” design. In our soft-pull design, the chain is replaced by the same material we used to manufacture the collar, so weight is reduced and the collar now operates silently.
